Class 13 took part in a workshop with Jenny Ulyatt
Class 13 enjoyed a day out at The Anderton Centre. Pupils enjoyed a morning of building shelters, making fires and making smoores and bread around the campfire. They then enjoyed an afternoon of canoe rafting where they worked in teams to paddle across the reservoir and playing in the water. The whole class thoroughly enjoyed the day, thank you Mark, Matty and Vicky.
Class 13 enjoyed a morning of BMX bike riding at Manchester Cycle Centre. They received tuition from the coaches there who taught them how to ride a BMX bike over the jumps at the centre. The children really enjoyed the experience.
Class 13 enjoyed an afternoon with the coaches from City in the Community. They were taught football skills and enjoyed the afternoon.
Class 13 spent the morning learning orienteering with Dan and Claire. They learned the basic skills of orienteering, following maps and using a compass, and had an enjoyable morning.
Class 13 had a lovely day out at Lyme Park. They enjoyed sports on the fields, the adventure playground and the deer walk – a great day out!
Class 13 received these letters and cards from their pen-pals in France.
Class 13 took part in an Ancient Greeks Workshop with Mr Tony North. Pupils, in small groups, made all the various parts of The Parthenon which was then glued together. Pupils also drew and painted Ancient Greek Art onto card, tiles and pottery. All pupils had a great time, learnt a lot about Ancient Greece and produced amazing pieces of artwork.
Class 13 took part in a Greet Art workshop with Pennine Studios.
Class 13 made circuits using a bulb, switch, and battery in our Science lesson.
Class 13 visited Stockport Air Raid Shelters on Armistice Day. They had an amazing day, dressing up and thoroughly enjoying the day.
Class 13 took part in Amanda Fleming’s Design Technology Workshop. Pupils learned all about pulleys, gears and motors and designed and made their own buggies. Class 13 thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and had lots of fun designing and making their vehicles.
Class 13 took part in an Evolution Workshop with Mr Tony North
Year 6 pupils visited the Marist Centre. They took part in workshops and drama based around the topic of ‘Responsibility’. The children had a lot of fun and learned about their responsibilities at home, at school and in the world.
Our classroom displays
